Another day, another highway toll dodger, and one of the latest to make the rounds on social media, was the driver of this black Honda City on the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) towards Subang Jaya. This time, the opportunists made physical contact with the vehicle in front of them.

Shared by Joshua Lim on the Dashcam Owners Malaysia Facebook page, the video is dated February 21 and its timestamp shows it happened at around 7.51pm.typical modus operandi The result – drivers of cars behind block the cars ahead at the entrance to the toll plaza in order to gain the right of way, in this case the SmartTag lane.

After understanding the intention of the driver behind him, Lin tried to stop in the toll lane to avoid being taken advantage of. The driver of the black Honda City collided with the rear bumper of Lim’s vehicle as they struggled to pass through the toll plaza where the NPE opened its toll system.

Aside from the obvious need to ensure that one has sufficient credit for their chosen toll payment method, another question remains – is avoiding the RM1.00 toll for this toll lane really worth the risk of damage and potential injury ?
