Indonesia’s most anticipated auto show is back this year.
The last time anyone attended The Elite Showcase was in early 2020, in the pre-Covid lockdown era. My reporting at the time focused on a group of competitors who traveled from Yogyakarta to Banten for the event — a 1,380km round trip — and the difficulties they faced meeting the deadline. The pandemic has taken its toll on the 2021 and 2022 shows, so for the long-awaited return of The Elite Showcase this year, I’ve decided to bring you some in-depth coverage of the event itself, which will hopefully convey it The reason why it is so named.
