The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has announced that it will close several roads and intersections for two-and-a-half hours at night from March 1 to try out the counter-current route at these locations. The road closure time is from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm on weekdays (except public holidays and when it rains), for a period of three months. selangor daily reports.

The roads and junctions involved include Jalan Othman–Jalan Templer junction, Jalan Gasing–Jalan Templer junction, Jalan Templer–Jalan 6/29 junction, and every median opening on Jalan Templer, according to a statement issued by the City Council’s corporate communications department.

It advises motorists traveling from Jalan Gasing direction to Jalan Othman or kawasan Melayu to use Jalan Changgai 6/22 or Jalan Anak Gasing 6/5-Jalan Tinggi 6/12-Jalan Selangor. For those heading towards the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) from Jalan Othman direction, make a U-turn at the Assunta roundabout.

Road users from Petaling Jaya city center and Section 52/Federal Highway can use this counter-current route for smoother travel, the committee said. It advises motorists to drive carefully and obey signs provided at the location.
