The Maserati GranTurismo has been redesigned for 2024, and we’ve just been testing it ahead of its launch this spring. The large coupe may have evolutionary styling, but the previous model’s V-8 has given way to a twin-turbo V-6, which will finally have an electric option promising 760 horsepower.
Lamborghini Aventador and Miura
Lamborghini will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2023, and to kick things off, the company released a video this week reminding us that it created the modern supercar formula when it introduced the Miura in 1966.

One of the cars we spotted testing this week is Ford’s first model based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, which is designed for mainstream electric vehicles. The first model is a compact crossover that will likely have a lot in common with the MEB-based VW ID.4.

Another car we’ve spotted is the upcoming A6 E-Tron, though it could be a high-performance variant dubbed the RS 6 E-Tron.
MINI Cooper SE Convertible (European specification)
Mini has sold an electric version of the Hardtop for years, and this week the automaker showed off a convertible with the same powertrain. There were 999 examples of electric convertibles destined to be built, at least for this generation, and they were all earmarked for Europe.
Ram 1500 rpm
Ram showed off its electric 1500 pickup truck in an ad that aired during Super Bowl LVII. The battery-powered truck, due in 2024, will have styling closer to the current combustion-engined 1500 than the 1500 Revolution concept shown at CES in January 2023.
2024 Buick Encore GX Avenir
Buick showed off the updated Encore GX. The subcompact crossover is due for the 2024 model year and will bring fresh styling, a higher-tech cabin, and a new high-end Avenir trim.
Production of the modern BMW 3.0 CSL in Dingolfing, Germany
Finally, BMW started production of its Hyundai 3.0 CSL this week. Only 50 will be built, with each car taking about 30 employees two weeks to assemble.
