The Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) is looking for a rider who was photographed without a helmet on. In the 11-second video posted on police social media, a rider can be seen driving down the busy street in a red Ducati Streetfighter.
The location of the incident is believed to be Pahang Road in Kuala Lumpur. It is an offense to ride a motorcycle without a helmet under section 4 of the Motorcycle Regulations (Helmets) 1973.
“JSPT is tracking down the motorcycle owner and is asking the rider to come to the station to assist in the investigation. Members of the public who have information on the incident are kindly requested to notify the nearest traffic police department urgently,” as posted in the JSPT statement.
JSPT advises the public to obey the rules and regulations of the road. “Wearing a motorcycle helmet is not for the inconvenience of the user, but for your safety,” the statement detailed.
