Three of the four Ducati teams have revealed their colors for the 2023 MotoGP season. In an excellent racing season in 2022, not only in MotoGP but also in the World Superbike Championship, the Ducati Lenovo Factory Team riders Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini are leading the way.

Bagnaia, who won the MoitoGP Drivers’ Championship in powerful fashion last year, opted to put the #1 plate on his Ducati Desmosedici GP23. The 26-year-old from Turin, Italy, will become the first Ducati rider to finish first since Casey Stoner in 2012, with most riders opting to continue with their regular racing numbers their championship season.

Meanwhile, Bastianini moved from the Gresini satellite team to the Ducati factory team, where he battled against the top-ranked drivers. “It’s a great feeling to wear the official team colors and now it’s my turn to prove that I deserve the opportunity. I’m excited for the new season,” said the 25-year-old from Rimini, Italy , who was nicknamed “La Bestia” (The Beast) by fans and enemies alike.

Moving on to the satellite team, Gresini Racing MotoGP with riders Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio showed off its eye-catching pastel pearl blue racing livery. The team led by Nadia Padovani was founded by her late husband Fausto Gresini, who passed away in 2021 from Covid-19.

Gresini Racing will become Ducati’s independent satellite team in 2022, having previously raced for Aprilias. “We are very excited about this new adventure. 2022 is incredible in every way, but our idea is to continue to improve and surprise. We are a young team with great ambitions,” said Padovani.

With eight podiums and seven pole positions in the 2022 MotoGP season, Prima Pramac Racing proved it has what it takes to race with the big dogs. Drivers Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin will drive for Pramac this season under team principal Paolo Campinoti.

As one of the three independent teams competing for Ducatis this year, the Benma Racing team’s goal for 2023 is simple, “This year’s goal is the same as what we set for ourselves at the beginning of each season? To become the best independent team and let the All official teams really run for their money!” said Campinotti.
