For air travelers, this has to be the last sign that the pandemic is history. No, we are not talking about the influx of tourists from China, but the restoration of KLIA Ekspres.

Yes, the direct service from KL Sentral to KLIA and KLIA2 has now resumed as a dedicated line service, which means we are again offering both KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services. During the pandemic, trains from the city to the airport have switched between being suspended or running as a joint service due to lockdowns and falling demand.

The relaunched KLIA Ekspres will operate every 20 minutes during morning and evening peak hours. KLIA Transit frequency will also be adjusted to run every 15 minutes during weekday peak hours, which will be extended until 8pm (from 7pm) to facilitate commuters.

During peak periods, there will be 7 trains per hour. KLIA Ekspres and Transit services will operate every 30 minutes during off-peak hours. At KL Sentral, the KLIA Ekspres train departure point will be restored to its original departure hall platform. The journey to and from KLIA2 takes 28 minutes or 33 minutes. Welcome back, old friend.
