The tragic year 2023 began with the sudden death of 55-year-old Ken Block. Professional rally driver and co-founder of Hoonigan and DC Shoes has died in a snowmobile accident in Utah.

News reports first indicated that Bullock was allegedly riding a snowmobile on a steep slope when the vehicle reversed on top of him. Bullock’s death was confirmed in a statement posted by Hoonigan on Instagram earlier today.

“It is with our deepest regret that we confirm the loss of Ken Block today in a snowmobile accident. Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. Most importantly, a father and husband. He will be greatly missed … please respect the privacy of the family as they grieve,” the statement read.

A luminary in the automotive world, Block has competed in various rallies and rallies, as well as his Gymkhana video series. He will be fondly remembered as head of Hoonigan and for what he accomplished during his 11-year partnership with Ford.
