On day six of a recent trip to Japan, I had the pleasure of meeting our friend Sid in Osaka, which provided one of the best opportunities of my trip.
Sid introduced me to a group of RAUH-Welt Begriff Porsche owners from the surrounding Kansai region, and together we embarked on a seven-hour road trip from Osaka to Tokyo for the 2023 RWB New Years Party.
The RWB Porsche community in Japan is known for their love of cars and I am honored to be a part of them, which is also documented in Japanese checkpoint video above.
As we hit the highway, I was immediately drawn to the picturesque landscape of rolling hills, lush forests, and bustling cities as we flew by while listening to the medley of different Porsche engines.
The group, made up of eclectic Porsche owners, drove vintage air-cooled 911s as well as more modern water-cooled models.
However, their shared passion for RWB Porsches is palpable.
I had the opportunity to speak with each owner to learn about their car, their modifications and their passion for the brand. It’s clear that each car is the product of countless hours and inspiration.
As we approached Tokyo, I was struck by the sheer size of the city. The Porsche owner led us through busy streets to our final destination at the historic Kashiwa Shrine. The RWB New Years Party was the highlight of my trip as I was about to witness one of the largest gatherings of RWB Porsche enthusiasts in the world.
Upon arrival, I was overwhelmed by an impressive amount of cars and people congregating in one place. The shrine grounds are adorned with a stunning assortment of RWB Porsches, each unique and stunning. The atmosphere is warm, with owners displaying their prized possessions, socializing with friends and posing for photos.To my surprise, our efforts Japanese checkpoint It’s exciting to be recognized at an event.
To my surprise, I met so many passionate and talented people at the event, including automakers, photographers, influencers, RWB owners and fans. This event really showcases the depth and breadth of the RWB Porsche community.
The road trip and RWB New Years party was an unforgettable experience in itself and left a lasting impact on me. It’s inspiring to have so many great cars and people in one place, and I’m honored to be a part of it.
