Facelifted all-new G28 BMW 3 Series Gran Sedan has been launched in Thailand, according to reports headlamp magazineThe updated long-wheelbase model is fully imported (CBU) from Malaysia like its pre-facelift counterpart.

However, unlike the previous 3 Series Gran Sedan, the new 3 Series sedan is offered in two variants, including the more affordable 320Li and the returning 330Li, both of which come standard with the M Sport package. The 320Li starts at THB 2.759 million (RM357,191), while the 330Li retails for THB 3.099 million (RM401,208).

Included in the price tag is a BSI Standard package that includes a three-year/unlimited mileage warranty and three-year/60,000km free maintenance. Notably, the facelifted 330Li is 2.899 million baht (RM375,256) more expensive than the previously launched version.

Under the hood, both variants are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 184 PS (181 hp or 135 kW) at 5,000 to 6,500 rpm, the 320Li at 1,350 to 4,000 300 Nm of torque available at rpm. The 330Li has higher outputs of 258 (255 hp or 190 kW) and 400 Nm, the latter of which is available from 1,550 to 4,400 rpm. An eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission drives the rear wheels as standard.

As before, the wheelbase of the 3-Series Sedan is 110mm longer than the standard 3-Series, and its overall length has also increased by 110mm. For full size, the extended car is 4,819mm long, 1,827mm wide and 1,442mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,961mm (compared to 2,851mm for the regular 3 Series).

Visually, the 3 Series sedan gets the same styling changes, including a new front grille, headlights and bumper. The interior also features BMW’s Curved Display (powered by BMW Operating System 8) with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central infotainment touchscreen, while the gearlever is replaced with a toggle switch.

In terms of equipment, 320Li is equipped with LED headlights with high beam assist, 18-inch V-spoke 780 alloy wheels, Comfort Access, panoramic sunroof, open-pore fine wood grain oak grain trim, M leather steering wheel, and instrument panel with Sensatec decoration , ambient lighting, three-zone climate control, and power front seats with driver-side memory.

Other items include the BMW Connected Package Professional, a HiFi speaker sound system, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function, a driver assistance package including automatic emergency braking, and park assist.

The 330Li improves on the 320Li by gaining adaptive LED headlights, the M Lights Shadowline package (smoked light clusters), aluminum interior trim, anthracite headliner and a Harman Kardon sound system.

Interior colors include Mocha and Cognac – both with decorative stitching – although the latter is only available in Carbon Black metallic. The former comes in the default Mineral White Metallic or Skyscraper Gray Metallic.

BMW Malaysia has launched the facelifted 3 Series in Malaysia and has confirmed that the 3 Series Long Wheelbase (we have the pre-facelift model) will be launched sometime this month, alongside the performance-focused M340i xDrive (standard wheelbase only) .
